Forest Genetic Resources Department
In order to improve productivity of tree species, and increase people’s incomes in rural areas and forest villages, we develop technology for improving genetic gain and breeding new variety of timber tree species; conserve and utilize useful forest genetic resources; apply biotechnology for developing high value-added forest resources; and develop and provide non-timber forest resources.
Forest Tree Improvement Division
Our Division aims to increase forest productivity through quantitative and qualitative improvement of economic tree species. These days, we focus on reducing breeding period and enhancing the effect of tree improvement by integrating advanced biotechnology into traditional breeding techniques.
