The Korea Forest Service, Cultural Properties Administration, Boeun-gun, National Park Authority, and the Civil Committee to Save Korean Pine came in one heart to protect the Jeong-i-pum-song(600-year old pine tree in Chungcheong province), natural monument no. 103, from the pine wilt disease.

Among the attendees were Chief Cho Yon-hwan of the Korea Forest Service and Administrator Yoo Hong-junof the Cultural Properties Administration, Chief Kim Jae-gyu of the Board of the Directors for National Park Authority, Mr. Park Jong-gi ,Head of Boeun-gun, Co-Chairperson Jeon Young-woo of the Civil Committee to Save Korean Pine and some 60 pine wilt disease prevention crews.

During this ceremony, they injected the Jeong-i-pum-song and other pine trees in the area with pine wilt disease prevention chemicals. They also reaffirmed the will to prevent pine wilt disease through the Joint Declaration to Save the Pine Trees.
