Korea Forest Service’s Hands-on Approach to Pine Wilt Prevention

Korea Forest Service (KFS) dispatched 18 officers to pine wilt prevention sites and ordered them to remain at the scene until the end of April declaring war against the disease.

The officers in charge will carry out task of monitoring prevention activities. Director of the Forest Health Protection Division of KFS stated that the dispatching officers will resolve the shortage of human resources at each site allowing ground offices to implement more effective prevention.
