With the recent rise in the temperature, tree planting season came around in no time. The Korea Forest Service is looking into planting 47 million trees, one for each Korean and also planning on the nationwide tree management project. In addition, some 27 million trees will be planted in schools and parks around the residential areas and 5 million trees for landscape project to form urban greens. 6.5 million trees of species known to have high water storage and purification capacity will be planted along the 5 main rivers and watershed covering 13 million ha.
