KFS Spreads Its Wings
KFS held the monthly general assembly on July 1 in presence of some 200 forest public officers. It represented the end on the first half and the beginning of the second half of 2005. The Chief of KFS, Mr. Cho Yon-hwan mentioned that the evaluation conducted for grade 5 promotion earlier this year introduced a new system which deemed to be fair and effective. Also, the budget planning was evaluated to be very successful and efficient that it became an exeplary case to other agencies. Meanwhile, as the new forests bills(Act on Forest Resource Development and Management, Act on National Forest Management, Act on Forest Culture and Recreation) were passed on June 30, the era of Forest Law that lasted 45 years has ended and the new legal system based on the Framework Act on Forest is finally set. Through all these, KFS is now ready to take off towards becoming a first class government agency.
